Patterson Dental Supply has introduced Smile Channel 9, the latest version of its educational reception-area video.
The program is designed to inform and entertain patients on a variety of topics related to general dental care and aesthetic dentistry, the company said in a press release.
This latest edition of Smile Channel, a product of the CAESY Education Systems family, includes four new and four updated presentations, all offered in widescreen. Among the new presentations, the "Tech Minute" segments trace the evolution of the technologies used in operatories today, with features on cone beam CT, lasers, and Cerec CAD/CAM. Also new is a "Smiles for the Whole Family" segment, which features photos demonstrating how cosmetic dentistry can help every member of the family.
In addition, updates have been made to the existing "Did You Know?" presentations, with new information on veneers and all-porcelain crowns. Additionally, the "Technologies in Dentistry" feature has been updated to include new material on minimally invasive dentistry and Cerec CAD/CAM.
