Missouri dental school receives $8.2 million gift

The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry has received a bequest of $8.2 million from a former student, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

The gift came from the estate of Robert Cowan, a 1949 graduate of the school.

The university plans to use the money for scholarships and will name a clinic in the dental school after Dr. Cowan and his wife Lucille, according to officials.
