Aribex has introduced the next generation of its popular Nomad handheld x-ray device, the Nomad Pro 2.
The Pro 2, designed for the dental and veterinary markets, will replace the Pro in the U.S., the company noted in a press release.
The Pro 2's redesigned battery handset features infrared connectors and a new charging cradle, all intended to improve the system's durability and boost battery performance. Durability is further enhanced by a re-engineered user interface that is more scratch- and moisture-resistant, according to the company.
The Pro 2 weighs 5.5 lb and delivers a lower dosage exposure than some wall-mounted systems, Aribex noted.
