Carestream Dental made two recent announcements that highlight its work to elevate women in dentistry.
First, the Healthcare Technology Report named Carestream Dental CEO Lisa Ashby as one of the top 25 female leaders in healthcare software. Ashby was responsible for refocusing the company on software, integration, and digital tools when it became a free-standing digital dental technology company in 2017.
The company has also partnered with the international organization Leading Ladies in Dentistry, which helps young women in oral healthcare become leaders. Carestream Dental will share educational resources, webinars, access to mentors, and general guidance with organization members. Additionally, Dr. Shaveta Chalana, a Carestream Dental marketing specialist, and Andreea Nita, a Carestream Dental regional product manager for intraoral imaging, have been named Leading Ladies in Dentistry.
