Carestream Dental is showcasing a range of new products at this week's ADA SmileCon 2021 meeting in Las Vegas.
In addition to its traditional CS 9600 cone-beam computed tomography system and its CS 3800 intraoral scanner introduced earlier this year, Carestream will showcase version 5.2 of its CS Model+ software, which adds more freedom to adapt treatment based on individual teeth, according to the vendor. The software then automatically updates the case after changes are made. CS Model+ v5.2 is validated for use with 3D printers from companies such as SprintRay, Formlabs, and Rapid Shape, according to Carestream.
The vendor is also directing attention to Patient Manager, a new patient-engagement application. Available via Carestream's Sensei Cloud care management platform or as a hybrid cloud implementation, Patient Manager offers two-way texting, an automated virtual waiting room, online scheduling, and a website chatbot, Carestream said. It also includes Smart Messenger, a tool that supports customizable messages for patients.
