Coltène/Whaledent will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of its Coltolux light-emitting diode (LED) curing light to breast cancer research, the company announced.

The Coltolux LED combines a slim curing probe with high output in a cordless lightweight pen-style design. The curing light's heat sink technology reduces the amount of heat emission and eliminates the need for a fan, according to Coltène/Whaledent. The company introduced a special version of the curing light with pink detailing.

Coltène/Whaledent will makes its donations to the American Cancer Society in conjunction with Henry Schein's Think Pink program timed for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. The Think Program helps provide opportunities for companies to support breast cancer research, according to Coltène/Whaledent.
