CDA Presents 2015: O'Nano debuts ultrasoft toothbrushes

SAN FRANCISCO - O'Nano Oral Solutions is launching its new line of advanced, ultrasoft toothbrushes for patients with periodontal disease or sensitive gums at this week's California Dental Association's 2015 CDA Presents meeting.

The toothbrushes are designed to improve plaque removal and protect gums and teeth with different bristle shapes, textures, and materials, while delivering antimicrobials during brushing, according to the company.

At CDA Presents, O'Nano will demonstrate the toothbrushes for patients who need special care, including patients with sensitive gums; periodontal patients; postsurgical, postimplant placement, and prosthodontic patients; seniors; immunocompromised patients; and orthodontic patients.

"When you can design each individual bristle to your specifications, it opens up so many possibilities for the future. Can we improve plaque removal and protect gums and teeth with different bristle shapes, textures and materials? Can we design the bristles to deliver antimicrobials during brushing? There are so many possibilities that open up when you move beyond the nylon bristle," stated Jason Zhu, PhD, company founder, in a press release.
