Oral Health America (OHA) is gearing up for its fourth annual Fall for Smiles campaign.
The campaign, which kicks off September 1, focuses on educating communities about the importance of maintaining good oral health through daily brushing and flossing, regular dental visits, healthy food choices, and avoiding tobacco. This year's campaign will focus on older adults, who are particularly vulnerable to oral disease and lack of access to care, according to Beth Truett, OHA president and CEO.
The event is being conducted in collaboration with lead sponsors 3M ESPE, Crest + Oral-B, and Patterson Dental.
The organization encouraged dental professionals to visit the campaign's webpage throughout September and October for suggestions on how to participate in Fall for Smiles. Those interested in becoming involved with the campaign can also sign up for a webinar, to be held August 21 at noon CST, for suggestions on how to use campaign collateral.
