NCOHF partners with Dawson Academy for at-risk students

The National Children's Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF) and the Dawson Academy have formed an alliance to provide volunteer dental services to underserved children in the U.S. through the Tomorrow's Smiles program and America's Toothfairy Dental Home Program.

Through this partnership, Dawson Academy students and alumni will provide restorative and aesthetic treatment for at-risk students while educating them about the importance of maintaining their oral health.

In return, Tomorrow's Smiles students share these lessons with elementary school children through the program's Pay-It-Forward component, ensuring that good oral hygiene habits are instilled early in a child's life, according to the organizations.

Through America's Toothfairy Dental Home Program, Dawson Academy clinicians across the U.S. will adopt the care of underserved children in their community and give them a "dental home." Volunteer dental professionals donate oral healthcare to a child in need, providing the building blocks necessary to ensure proper oral health practices and increased opportunities for future success, the organizations said.
