Medelita has introduced a dental-specific line of lab coats, two tailored for women and one for men.
The lab coats follow all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommendations by offering cuffed sleeves and closure up to the neck to help prevent bodily fluids and dental materials from touching the skin, according to the company.
The lab coats are also designed to allow full range of motion, with additional features for comfort and durability. In addition, two of the three coats have a snap closure instead of traditional buttons.
"With a large segment of our customer base in the dental field, we have received multiple requests for years about designing a lab coat line specifically suited toward the needs of those who work as dentists, dental surgeons, dental hygienists, and dental assistants," said Lara Manchik, founder of Medelita, in a press release.
Medelita dental lab coats are hand-sewn in the U.S. using innovative performance fabrics and featuring inside seam finishing and contoured shaping, Medelita said. They can be machine-washed (dry cleaning is optional, though not necessary). The coats are available in women's sizes (0-16) and men's sizes (36-52).
The lab coats and scrubs can be embroidered with clinician name and credentials, as well as hospital, practice, or group custom logo.
