Komet USA has announced the winners of the company's first Women in Dentistry dental student essay contest.
The following were the top three entrants:
- Rebecca Tom of the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry will receive a one-year supply of dental burs (up to $1,000) for her first-place award.
- Erica Boyd of the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry will receive a six-month supply of dental burs (up to $500) for her second-place award.
- Caroline Zeller of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry will receive a three-month supply of dental burs (up to $250) for her third-place award.
All three winners will also receive a specially engraved custom bur block. Entries will be published over time on the company's Facebook page, according to the company.
