Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill on June 18 that lifts a ban imposed by the state's board of dental examiners during last year's COVID-19 lockdowns requiring Texas dentists to perform physical examinations only.
The board also claimed Texas law didn't authorize teledentistry, according to news reports and a release by Frisco-based teledentistry company DialCare, which lobbied with other groups for a lift of the ban.
