The Texas Dental Association (TDA) has endorsed Bento, a dental insurance provider, for its TDA Perks Program.
The perks program includes more than 9,000 member dentists and 26 societies, the TDA said. Bento offers dental coverage that does not require employer groups, associations, or individuals to contract with traditional insurance companies.
The collaboration is an effort to support dentists during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the TDA.
"With so many companies and individuals affected by COVID-19, this is important," Dr. William Gerlach, president of the program, said in a statement released by the association. "Bento enables our dentists to work with local employers and attract and retain patients with in-office membership plans -- all while reducing administrative work at their offices."
