Continued demand for the VELscope Vx helped push LED Medical Diagnostics' revenues up 4% year over year in the second quarter of 2013 (end-June 30).
The company reported revenues of $1.08 million for the quarter, compared with $1.04 million for the same period in the prior year.
However, net loss for the quarter was $2.2 million, compared with a net loss of $195,000 for the second quarter of 2012.
"Our revenues were up considerably from the first quarter, and at this stage of our development a neutral quarter can be seen as a positive result," stated Peter Whitehead, LED founder and CEO, in a company press release.
