The U.S. National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) has announced the availability of $2.5 million in funding for research on oral HPV infection in people living with HIV.
The funding will support three to five grants designed to address broad knowledge gaps related to biological, immunogenetic, clinical, and sociobehavioral factors and mechanisms for oral HPV coinfection and persistence in the oral cavity and oropharynx of HIV-seropositive individuals.
The open date for applications for the grants is October 18. The project period is five years. For more information, visit the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' funding opportunity site.
