Austrian YouTube guitarist Bernth Brodträger recently took up a new challenge to his songwriting: replacing his guitar strings with dental floss.
The guitarist, who currently has nearly 900,000 subscribers under the name Bernth, has explored unusual methods of recording music on the instrument. Some of Brodträger’s novel methods include playing with fireworks attached to his guitar, filling his guitar with water, replacing his guitar strings with rubber bands, and drilling holes in his guitar.
Brodträger created his latest composition, “Floss,” by replacing his guitar strings with dental floss. The result? Dental floss has a more twangy sound than guitar strings. Brodträger also replaced the floss with acoustic guitar strings for the song’s solo, showing the comparable sounds.
