A highlight of the California Dental Association's upcoming CDA Presents 2017 meeting in Anaheim, CA, will be the many products on display in the exhibit hall. Here we bring you a preview of these products.

Dentsply Sirona Endodontics features handpiece and app

Dentsply Sirona Endodontics is featuring the X-Smart IQ cordless motor handpiece and Apple iOS application at the CDA Presents meeting.

The X-Smart IQ is a continuous and reciprocating cordless motor controlled by an Apple iOS application. The cordless handpiece and app offer a full-treatment solution for every step of the endodontic process from patient education to treatment data, according to the company. The iOS app allows the synchronization of future products and immediate updates.

Pac-Dent debuts rotary file systems

Pac-Dent will debut the Pac-Taper and Pac-File rotary file systems.

The Pac-Taper rotary files have variable taper designs for canal shaping procedures. The Pac-File rotary instruments have a constant taper and are available in .04 and .06 taper and ISO tip sizes 15 to 60. Both file designs are available in regular nickel titanium (NiTi) and Pac-Dent's proprietary heat-treated Conform NiTi.

Roydent launches endodontic materials

Roydent Dental is launching its new Aha line of bite registration, impression, and putty materials.

The materials offer a solid, durable impression that will hold up and stay true, according to the company.

A-dec launches new handpiece line

A-dec has launched a lightweight line of hygiene handpieces.

The W&H Proxeo hygiene handpieces accommodate all leading cups and brushes. The lightweight handpiece has a microhead design and offers an ultrasmooth swivel and precision ball bearings.

Crosstex, Accutron show new nasal mask

Crosstex and Accutron are showcasing its new nitrous oxide/oxygen nasal mask for patients.

The Axess mask is a single-use, lightweight, low-profile mask that fits over the patient's nose. The mask is available in three sizes. It comes in scented (mint and bubblegum) and unscented versions.

American Eagle adds to instrument line

American Eagle has added a line of periodontal instruments.

The Pro Thin line of seven instruments has thinner blades and lighter handles, according to the company. The line includes the M23 Thin scaler and thinner versions of the Blackjack scaler, Barnhart 5-6 curette, and Gracey Access curettes 1-2, 7-8, 13-14, and 15-16.

Water Pik introduces oral care product for orthodontic patients

Water Pik has launched a new oral care product for orthodontics users.

The Ortho Care combines water flosser and sonic toothbrush technologies. It is designed to work throughout orthodontic treatments and includes special water flossing tips for each phase of orthodontic treatment.

DEXIS launches new intraoral camera

DEXIS is introducing a new high-definition (HD) intraoral video camera at the Anaheim meeting.

The DEXcam 4 HD intraoral video camera offers clear and focused images in real-time. The anodized aluminum housing adds a degree of durability, and the camera allows for capture control directly from the handpiece. The camera is designed for both left- and right-handed users.

Panoramic highlights digital imaging system

Panoramic is highlighting a new digital imaging system at CDA Presents.

The Encompass 3D digital panoramic/cephalometric imaging produces high-definition images and offers various small, medium, and large field-of-view options ranging from 5 x 5 cm to 23 x 16 cm. The system enables practitioners to take panoramic or cephalometric images, along with images of the temporomandibular joint and sinuses, and perform other 2D functionalities.

KaVo is featuring a cone-beam CT (CBCT) 3D imaging system at the CDA Presents meeting in Anaheim.

The Orthopantomograph OP 3D Pro is a three-in-one imaging system that offers a full range of protocols to handle both routine and highly specialized procedures. The OP 3D Pro provides incredible flexibility to address the changing needs of practitioners, according to the company. It features a range of volumes and resolutions with automatic dose control technology with 3D.

The system is designed to be upgradeable and expandable, and a cephalometric option is available, according to KaVo.
