St. Renatus has announced that the company's nasal anesthetic for dentistry, Kovanaze, is now available for preorder.
Kovanaze enables dental anesthesia to be administered through a nasal spray without using a needle, according to the company. The product is indicated for regional anesthesia when performing a restorative procedure on teeth #4 through #13 and teeth #A through #J in adults and children weighing more than 40 kg.
The product was cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in June 2016.
