An affiliated fund of private investment firm Charlesbank Capital Partners has made a significant investment in Dallas-based dental service organization (DSO) MB2 Dental.
The Charlesbank-affiliated fund acquired the majority of interest in funds affiliated with Sentinel Capital Partners and management. The remaining stake in MB2 Dental is held by CEO and founder Dr. Chris Steven Villanueva, management, and doctor owners.
MB2 Dental has more than 275 affiliated dental practices in 24 states. It operates with a joint-partnership model and has 200 doctor owners in its group.
