Wafra Partners and the Thurston Group have joined to form the Smiles Services dental service organization (DSO).
Based in Longview, WA, Smiles Services is a DSO currently contracting with nine clinics in the Pacific Northwest, according to a press release. Smiles Services' clinical offices offer general dentistry and specialty services in Oregon and Washington.
Smiles Services plans to add clinics in Alaska by year-end. The company has experience in managing dental practices in the Pacific Northwest under the leadership of CEO Jeromy Dixson, DMD.
Monroe Capital led the debt financing and invested equity alongside Wafra and Thurston, a Chicago-based independent private equity sponsor focused on investing in healthcare services, telecommunications, and Internet-based services.
