Dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca has launched new artificial intelligence (AI) tools for Planmeca Romexis.
New AI-powered features have been added to enhance the unit's imaging capabilities. Romexis Smart, an optional feature, automatically identifies anatomical structures, improving efficiency and facilitating patient communication.
Another AI-based tool, available for 2D imaging, integrates with Pearl's Second Opinion software, which is designed to provide enhanced diagnostics and aid in identifying dental pathologies. This AI analysis aims to help detect issues such as incipient caries and early signs of periapical radiolucency.
