Sirona reported a 15% increase in revenues in the second quarter of 2013 (end-March 31), compared with the same period last year.
The company's second-quarter revenues were $267 million, compared with $231.8 million in the second quarter of 2012.
Net income for the quarter was $31.7 million, compared with $30.5 million in the same quarter a year ago.
The company had record quarters for CAD/CAM systems, which increased 21%, and treatment centers, which increased 18%, while imaging systems increased 12%, and instruments increased 3%.
U.S. revenues, up 12%, benefited from strong demand for imaging and CAD/CAM products and the expanded agreement with Patterson, according to Sirona. International sales, up 17%, were led by Germany and non-European markets and were particularly strong in the CAD/CAM and treatment center segments.
