Ormco plans to start shipping its Lythos digital impression system to Europe and other parts of the world after hitting a North American sales milestone.
The company has sold more than 100 Lythos systems in the U.S. and Canada. The Lythos system became commercially available in May 2013 and began shipping in late July. Ormco has been offering a rebate program that reimburses clinicians every time scans are used for Ormco's Insignia Advanced Smile Design or Clearguide Express cases.
The system employs a digital scanning wand to capture intraoral data.
