3M ESPE has released version 4.1 of its True Definition Scanner software.
The upgrade improves the focal range of the scanning handpiece, used for digital impressioning, making it easier to scan a full arch and capture challenging areas of the oral anatomy, the company explained in a press release.
It will be automatically installed on all 3M True Definition scanners.
Practitioners who have used the new software say its scan speed and ease of capturing incisal edges and interproximal spaces result in more user control and less chair time for the patient, according to 3M ESPE.
