EGSolutions, a developer of software for processing digital models from data captured with 3D scanners, has launched its first product for the dental market: DentalCad 2012.
DentalCad 2012 allows dental professionals to model crowns, bridges, anatomic prostheses, and customized implants. It exports the data in standard STL file format, which then can be imported into any computer-aided manufacturing software for further production, milling, and prototyping.
DentalCad 2012 is designed to work in conjunction with the company's DScan scanner.
