Fake dentist using dirty tools arrested

Dental Tools

A man allegedly operated an illegal dental practice out of a California salon where he used "extremely unsanitary" dental tools, leaving patients with severe dental problems, according to a Gilroy Police Department news release.

Luis Antonio Perez Juarez, a Las Vegas resident also known as "Dr. Antonio," was arrested for reportedly operating an unlicensed dental practice marketed as Envios de Dinero "Money Transfers"/Isabella Salon after police were tipped off about the illegal business, according to the news release posted on the department's Instagram account on October 11.

During Juarez's arrest, police purportedly found very dirty tools, including syringes, picks, mirrors, and excavators, at the salon that Juarez reportedly had been using to provide dental services to patients. The unsanitary tools allegedly left several patients with serious dental problems, according to police.

Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone who has additional information or who received dental services from Juarez to come forward.

A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
