Zap Lasers recently unveiled its new microlaser for soft-tissue applications, the Styla MicroLaser.

The 1.9-ounce Styla is a handheld diode laser in a 6.9-inch self-contained unit that utilizes no attached wires or cables.

It features 2.0 watts of power, eight preset procedures, and continuous and pulsed modes. Other features include prethreaded disposable tips, intelligent gravity sensor, rechargeable lithium ion batteries, and a wireless foot pedal, according to the Pleasant Hill, CA-based company.

"Introducing Styla, Zap continues to break barriers, eliminating the cord and delivering a powerful soft-tissue laser with the freedom to move wherever the doctor does, even between practices, making sure patients in every operatory and office receive the highest standard of care possible," said Alex Di Sessa, vice president of sales and marketing at Zap Lasers.

The Styla MicroLaser is available for preorder directly from Zap via the company Web site, www.zaplasers.com/styla, or by calling 1-888-876-4546.
