Carestream Dental has donated technology valued at $430,000 to the College of Dentistry at Howard University in Washington, DC, with the goal of advancing digital applications.
Carestream's involvement includes training in digital dentistry. The donation builds on other links between the company and the university. Carestream already supports the oral and maxillofacial surgery postdoctoral program and general dentistry practice residency at the Howard University Hospital. The hospital dental department is equipped with Carestream's 3D cone-beam CT systems.
Carestream also recruits staff through the university.
