Global Group in partnership with Oral Genome is launching a salivary testing pilot program to address global oral health disparities.
The Bridging Oral Health Disparities: A Global Partnership for Equitable Care initiative uses Oral Genome's salivary test kit and a mobile health app to quickly assess risks for dental caries, periodontal disease, halitosis, and diabetes. The initiative aims to enhance early detection, immediate treatment, and overall public health practices.
Over the next 12 months, the pilot program will focus on collaborating with safety net sites and strategic partners to ensure the effective use of testing kits, expanding at-home testing options, and conducting in-depth data analysis. Additionally, the project will create educational materials and host workshops to engage the community and explain the program's benefits at the grassroots level.
