Cantel Medical to acquire Hu-Friedy for $725M
July 30, 2019 -- Cantel Medical has agreed to acquire instrument manufacturer Hu-Friedy for $725 million in cash and stock. Hu-Friedy will be combined with Crosstex, Cantel's dental division, when the transaction is completed. The transaction is expected to close before fall 2019.
P&G reports higher healthcare sales, overall loss in Q4
July 30, 2019 -- Procter & Gamble (P&G) has reported increased healthcare division net sales for its fourth quarter of fiscal 2019. However, the company reported an overall $5.237 billion loss for the quarter, centered around its Gillette shaving brand.

Study focuses on dental therapists' impact in Native Alaskan communities

In the first study to look at the long-term outcomes of communities served by dental therapists, researchers from the University of Washington have found that children in Alaska Native communities had lower rates of tooth extractions and more preventive care than those in communities not receiving services from these practitioners.
