The California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) has released a digital ad urging the California Senate to vote no on AB 1998, the Dental Practice Act, which was authored by Assembly Member Evan Low (D-Campbell).

The CHCC said the dental legislation is unfair because it makes dental care inaccessible and unaffordable for California's communities of color. Low acknowledged that his bill "will disproportionately hurt communities of color," according to a July 11 article from MarketWatch.

The CHCC is joined by 22 other organizations in calling for lawmakers to vote no on the bill, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, the California NAACP, and the Prostate Cancer Research Institute.
