Banta has been involved in dentistry for more than 40 years, including serving as an administrative team member in private practices for more than 25 years. She formed Banta Consulting in 1998 and became the owner and CEO of the Speaking Consulting Network (SCN) in 2010.

Dubbed "Dentistry's Insurance Detective," Banta has worked with eAssist many times in the past on professional and personal development seminars. She will now help eAssist attempt to reach its goal of growing into a billion-dollar company over the next 10 years, the company said.
eAssist's plans to reach that goal reportedly include continuously improving service levels, building its client base, providing opportunities to hundreds more billing professionals, and broadening its scope and reach with innovative new products and services that benefit clients as well as drive advancements in the dental billing industry overall.
