Georgia State offers online degree program for RDHs

By staff writers

November 19, 2020 -- Georgia State University of Atlanta has received approval from the University System of Georgia Board of Regents to offer an online associate degree to bachelor's degree completion program for registered dental hygienists (RDHs).

The program will boost hygienists' career opportunities, the university said, as a bachelor's degree allows them to manage dental practices or public health clinics; it also helps hygienists work toward a graduate degree.

The new program is a collaboration between the university's Perimeter College and Lewis College.
