SICAT now independent from Dentsply Sirona

January 2, 2019 -- Dentsply Sirona has agreed that software and hardware manufacturer SICAT will be taken over by SICAT's current management. The agreement took effect on January 1, 2019.

Dentsply Sirona will sell its shares of SICAT, and SICAT will be wholly owned by its management and employees. The companies will continue their strategic partnership without changes for their customers, according to Dentsply Sirona.

The transaction price was not disclosed.
